Media carousel

process: On the first day I spent the day doing a media taster day. During the day we had an assignment which was to create an advert for the pen company named Bic about the four coloured Bic pen. we started of by brainstorming ideas for our adverts. I was in a group with heather,Yasmine, and Stephen. our idea for the advert was to recreate a lynx advert. We pitched our idea along with the other groups. our idea was to have someone pull out a Bic four coloured Bic pen and then when I changed the colours the people around me start fainting. The other groups ideas were to have someone get into difficult situations and the Bic gets them out of the situation. Another idea was a girl getting mugged, she pulls out a Bic and then the muggers run away.The other groups idea was someone would drop an ordinary Bic pen in a drain, when they bent over someone would bend over them and offer them the four coloured Bic pen. After the class vote it was decided that my groups idea was going to be the advert.
We decided roles, then we filmed the advert. The advert was not as good as we hoped because the communication wasn't great between the pod and the theatre room. Also therefore the actors were not dong exactly as told because they didn't get the full instructions. in conclusion, communication could have been a lot better.
materials: bic pen, paper, studio, lights, cameras, head sets, sound booms, sound recorder.
technical skills: i have learnt to use a sound recorder, i also learnt some team working skills during the media carousel.
