Art and Design carousel

This week in Art and Design we spent the morning scribbling to some music. The aim of that was too feel the music. We had to do this on sixteen pieces of A6 paper. After that we got an A2 paper where we had to choose our favourite sketches and copy them onto a moneic style piece of art work.

In the afternoon we came into the printing room and made some prints with bits of wallpaper trimmings and put them through the press. We came out with some interesting prints. The way you do this is to get some ink onto a big glass surface, then use a roller to create a flat surface. Them you get a sheet of plastic, and roll the ink onto it. Make sure the ink is flat then place the parts of wallpaper strips onto it. Then put some paper over it and put it through the press. 

On the second day we spent the morning cutting up paper and producing patterns, then taking  photos of it while experimenting with different angles of light.

Duirng art and design we used lots of materials such as:
A6 paper, A2 paper, graphite pencils, charcoal, chalk, scissors, rulers, pen,

process: we did some abstract drawings onto some A6 paper, then we copied them onto the A2 paper, the we used scissors to cut the paper up and made shapes in the paper, then we put some lights on the table and placed the paper on the table, then we changed the angle of the lights and the paper in order to create shadows over the paper, then we took photos of the work.
